Sheldrake Lodge is nurse owned and operated. Our staff are skilled in the management and care of the elderly, including those with Alzheimer disease and other dementias. A Gerontological nurse is available 24 hours a day.
We encourage residents to use and retain as many self-care skills as possible. This may include helping to prepare some of the snacks and meals, setting the table, folding the laundry, watering the plants, replenishing the bird-feeders or feeding the cat and dog.
The Lodge is fully sprinklered and has a generator, supporting our commitment to providing safe and quality care to our residents.
Sheldrake Lodge sits on two acres of wooded land, 10 minutes outside Halifax in Hubley.
The setting allows us to provide a safe environment and quality care that meets each resident's physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
